SERVICES
Beginning July 1, 2025 UpRiver Village member support volunteers will deliver services like, but not limited to, the following to our senior members:
- Social, recreational, cultural and educational activities
- Driving/transportation (to doctors, social events).
- Computer Wiz-MAC
- Computer Wiz-PC
- Technological support (computers, phones, home electronics)
- Occasional housekeeping (house cleaning, trash removal)
- Grocery shopping
- Meal preparation/meal train
- Handyman services
- Organization (mail, decluttering, calendars, phone calls, appointments)
- Occasional yard and garden care (pick up leaves, watering, pruning, yard debris)
- Short term pet care (walking, changing litter box, feeding)
- Minor home maintenance and repairs (clear walkways, change light bulbs)
- Seasonal home tasks (put up Christmas tree, take down holiday lighting)
- Run errands (pick up prescriptions, meals, groceries, packages from UPS)
- Accompany to appointments and activities (doctors, market, walks)
- Researching needed resources & service providers (lawn care, contractors, tax preparers, auto service, moving company)
- Sewing & mending
- Home check while away (outside and/or inside)
- Additional non-medical support during recovery (not normally provided by volunteers)
- Cooking
- Assistance with laundry
UpRiver Village will not be able to guarantee that a volunteer is available for a requested task on a specific day and time needed. Volunteers will not be "on-call." All services must be requested and scheduled, preferably at least 48 hours in advance.
UPRIVER VILLAGE WILL NOT PROVIDE:
- Any type of direct care typically provided by a home health or nursing agency.
- Financial advice
- Regular recurring services (weekly housecleaning, weekly lawn mowing, weekly grocery shopping)
